Imagine standing in the ranks of the Israelites. Morning after morning and evening after evening you hear the same thing. It’s the same guttural call from a nine foot giant and it booms across the valley day after day. He calls to you and challenges you to come out and do battle with him. Now wouldn't that be terrible! It's painful to simply think about isn't it? But it still happens every day to so many of us. I invite you to come and join us as we relive the battle that changed history forever and find new ways to slay an ugly giant! As we read the story of David and Goliath we will address our hopes and dreams, fears and inadequacies, the effects of family birth order, victories and defeats, faith and humility, being clothed with the Spirit, courage and fear, confidence and strategies. At the end of the study, we will celebrate God’s victories in our lives over the voice of Goliath.
