Help for Haiti- Need donations for Relief Train by Sunday 2/14

At New Crossing, we are preparing to help with the crisis in Haiti in a few ways:

1.  Filling a container of supplies.  We can collaborate with other churches and organizations in the area to fill a container of supplies (computers, medical, food, clothing, etc) to be shipped to St Marc to a YWAM base that will be housing people who need shelter.  (Go to www.ReliefTrain.org for more information)  If you would like to donate any of the items listed below, please bring them to New Crossing on Sunday.  Relief Train is also accepting donations for the shipping costs.  Go the the website listed above to donate.

Sample of items needed:  Rice - Beans - Cooking oil- Tomato paste- Spaghetti- Soap- Tarps- Tents- Medical Supplies

2.  Outreach Team.  A team of people from NCC and UW students (connected with YWAM) to go to Haiti during spring break, March 27 to April 3.  Please pray about whether you want to volunteer to be part of this team.  The team would be based at the YWAM base in St Marc -- a secure and established location -- and would work from there.  Anyone with specific skills would be especially encouraged to join the team -- medical, computer, administration, building, etc.  They also need people who can provide spiritual teaching and encouragement -- if you have ever led a Bible study or taught a seminar (like the ones at the women's retreat last year), you would be qualified!

3.  Financial gifts.  It will cost up to $1,000 for each team member for air fare and expenses.  Please pray about whether you would like to contribute to help the team get to Haiti.  Please make checks out to NCC and write "Haiti" on the memo line.
